Joe Byrd

Welcome to Joe Byrd. We are four like minded individuals who have dedicated the majority of our lifetimes to learning and playing music. My name is Gary Watts, and I am vocalist for Joe Byrd. I am honored to be backed by three exceptional musicians. They are Aaron Henning, Robert Turner, and Crist Giotes, on guitar, bass, and drums, respectively! We are presently working on our new album “Down at Connie’s Place” which will be released on Feret Hole Records, owned and operated by Simon Feret, of whom I have the utmost respect…He is also our advisor, and will be helping in other aspects of the recording. The album was recorded in April at The Magic Closet Recording Studio in Portland Oregon…Ian Watts engineered the album, and is in the middle of mixing it now.
If you have noticed that we have the same last name, I can say that I am honored to have known this fine man since his navel birthday! All of this group have been like a family to me for many years, and that is why I am proud to be a member of JOE BYRD! STEADY ON!!! Gary Watts, June 13, 2011
